As the shapeshifting, one-person act STAHV, Solomon Arye Rosenschein blends darkwave, post-punk, power pop, psych, and shoegaze into a unique sonic compound. Drawing comparisons to pioneering starmen Bowie and Numan, the latest STAHV release, Sentiens Eklektikos, explores themes of love, humanity, and free will set against a consciousness-expanding dystopian future.
An energetic and prolific live performer, STAHV takes the stage solo, blending dense tracks, guitar loops, and layers of synth while accompanied by immersive visuals. STAHV has supported N8NOFACE, Xeno & Oaklander, Warmduscher, Lene Lovich, Vision Video, VOSH, ACTORS, TRAITRS, Jay Aston’s Gene Loves Jezebel, and many others, and played festivals like Freakout, Northwest Terrorfest, and Seagaze.

"Sentiens Eklektikos presents a surreal narrative, imagining an AI achieving sentience through a psychedelic experience ... a unique and immersive sonic landscape."
-New Noise
“A fresh and yet quite innovative approach, STAHV knows how to mix space-oriented ‘80s music with ’70s David Bowie. Sentiens Eklektikos is as eclectic as the name suggests.”
-Rock Portaal
"On the opening title track, maybe that’s a post-industrial Phil Collins set to dreamtime keyboard and backed by fuzzy drone. There are worlds here waiting for ears adventurous enough to hear them."
-The Obelisk
"Featuring melancholic flutes, Latin percussion, and vintage atmospheres, the track channels the nostalgic vibes of Nick Cave and Leonard Cohen."
-R+
"With a flair for the futuristic and a nod to the past, STAHV blends sci-fi with swagger, creating something that’s both familiar and entirely alien."
-Post-punk.com
"Droids on acid! It’s part Bowie and part Star Wars, and it’s wrapping me up in cosmic synths and pulsing beats and indie riffs and electronic fuzz."
-CVLT Nation
